MYAirline Unaccompanied Minor Policy
Home » Major Airlines » MYAirline » Unaccompanied Minor Policy
The MYAirline Unaccompanied Minors Policy stipulates that children below 12
years of age must be accompanied by a passenger aged 18 years or older.
MYAirline retains the right to request documented proof of a child's age.
Children aged 12 to under 16 can travel unaccompanied. In such cases, they will
be classified as Young Passengers Travelling Alone (YPTA) and will adhere to the
regulations set by MYAirline.
For YPTAs, the authorization form must be fully completed and validated by a
MYAirline staff member before travel can be approved. Parents or guardians
authorizing their child to travel alone as a YPTA should take all necessary
precautions to ensure their safety.
The child, along with their parent or guardian, must visit the check-in desk at
least 2 hours before departure. The accompanying adult needs to provide valid
identification and remain at the airport until the child's flight has taken off.
It's important to note that MYAirline does not manage pre-boarding or
meet-and-assist services for YPTAs.
Upon YPTA notification, MYAirline ground staff will assume responsibility for
the child's care from check-in through to the boarding gate, where the child
will be handed over to the cabin crew.
It's essential for parents or guardians to familiarize themselves with the
specific requirements and procedures of MYAirline's Unaccompanied Minor service.
They can find detailed information on MYAirline's official website or by
contacting MYAirline's
customer service team directly. It's
recommended to review the airline's policy well in advance of the child's travel
date to ensure compliance with all necessary arrangements and documentation.
