Vistara is a joint venture between Tata Sons Private Limited and Singapore Airlines (SIA). The airline began operations on January 9, 2015, with its maiden flight from Delhi to Mumbai.

As of June 2026 (Before ceasing operations in June 2026), the airline operates scheduled services to over 50 destinations both within India and internationally. The airline runs nearly 250 flights a day with a fleet of 51 aircraft.
