Baggage
It's important to check with your airline about their specific baggage rules as
there may be differences among different airlines. However, here are some
general guidelines to keep in mind:
Carry-on bags (hand baggage) in the cabin must not exceed the dimensions of 55
cms (22 inches) x 40 cms (16 inches) x 20 cms (8 inches) and a total weight of 8
kgs.
Children are allowed the same cabin baggage allowance as adults.
When traveling with an infant, a carrycot or a fully collapsible
pushchair/stroller may be carried in the cabin if space is available, or else as
checked baggage.
Any odd-sized cabin baggage that does not meet the specified dimensions will not
be allowed in the cabin and will be loaded in the hold.
You may also be permitted to carry one additional personal item in addition to
one piece of cabin baggage or package. Examples of such items include a lady's
handbag, an overcoat or wrap, a rug or a blanket, a camera or binoculars,
reasonable reading material, an infant's feed, a collapsible wheelchair or pair
of crutches, a walking stick, an umbrella, medicines, and a laptop or notebook
computer.
According to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), liquids,
gels, or aerosols exceeding 100 ml are not allowed in carry-on baggage or on
person except for medicines, inhalers accompanied by prescriptions, and baby
food. These items must be carried in one clear, transparent, re-sealable,
one-liter size plastic bag and will be subjected to security checks.
For a comfortable journey, it's recommended that most items be placed in
checked-in baggage, while items of value, importance, or those required on-board
