Packing Tips
To avoid any inconvenience, it is important for passengers to properly pack and
tag their baggage. Here are some useful tips:
• Be aware of your free checked baggage allowance.
• Do not pack valuable items in your checked baggage.
• Any excess baggage will be charged accordingly.
• Label your bags clearly with your name and address, and remove any old tags or
labels from previous flights.
• Familiarize yourself with the latest restrictions on hand baggage and ensure
that you carry any important documents, medication, valuable items, and cash in
your hand baggage.
• Do not carry packages from unknown persons, or any packages with unidentified
contents on behalf of others.
• In some cases, you may be required to identify or claim your baggage at the
connecting point.
• Never leave your baggage unattended within the airport premises as unattended
baggage may be removed by airport security staff.
• Declare any arms or explosive substances before checking in. Concealment of
such items is an offence under the Aircraft Act and Rules.
• Battery cells in electronic items are now allowed in hand baggage, but loose
battery cells or dry cells must be carried in checked baggage.
• Pass your baggage through the X-ray machines operated by security personnel
before approaching the check-in counters.
These packing tips are designed to help you navigate the airport easily and
efficiently.
