Korean Air offers passengers flexible options for ticket cancellations and
refunds, depending on the fare type, route, and reason for cancellation.
Bookings can be canceled online through the Korean Air website, via the mobile
app, or by contacting Korean Air customer service or the travel agency where the
ticket was purchased.
Refund eligibility is based on the fare conditions. Refundable tickets allow
cancellation with little or no penalty, while non-refundable tickets may only
qualify for a refund of certain government taxes or charges. In special cases,
such as medical emergencies or government-imposed travel restrictions, Korean
Air may provide travel credits or partial refunds instead of a full monetary
refund.
For tickets purchased directly from Korean Air, refund requests can be submitted
through the “My Trips” section of the website. Refunds are generally processed
within 7 to 20 business days, depending on the original payment method. Tickets
booked through third-party travel agencies must be refunded through the issuing
agency.
Passengers are encouraged to review the fare rules before canceling. In the
event of a Korean Air–initiated disruption, such as flight cancellation or a
significant schedule change, travelers are entitled to a full refund or
complimentary rebooking.
Additionally, Korean Air provides a 24-hour risk-free cancellation policy for
certain routes, allowing passengers to cancel within 24 hours of booking for a
full refund.
If you require additional assistance, it's best to contact Korean Air'
customer service team for further information.
